1970-1989
He worked on a wide variety of issues, becoming president of the Detroit Chapter of Veterans for Peace, and volunteering many hours at Swords into Plowshares Peace Center and Gallery. He also joined a weekly vigil at Clark Park in support of immigrants, marched with Women in Black’s monthly vigils for peace, fought for nuclear disarmament … really, the list is long because this is where he devoted so much of his time and energy, never wavering despite the sometimes seemingly quixotic nature of the fight.
